Today, I would like to tell you why I coupon. My name is Coupon Joe and I run the website www.iheartsweetdiscounts.com. It is here on my site, where I post the "Sweetest" deals offering many users the ability to "save big on sweet deals". I am a proud father of 3 great boys and husband of 1 beautiful wife. It was actually my wife that started me on this whole coupon voyage when she came up to me one day and said, hey Joe, your great at math, maybe you should try couponing..... So I went out, tried it and ever since I got my first FREE item I was hooked.
After many months of strategic shopping I was able to stockpile enough food, pet, baby, laundry, healthcare and beauty supplies to last my family for a few years. It became very rewarding as well. After making a recent move to the state of Maine from North Carolina and looking around and seeing the larger number of homeless people in my new state I realized that couponing would become even more important than it was before. In my mind, I never thought that I had enough to give to the needy until my wife told me one day that if everyone thought that way that no one would receive the items they needed to live off of. So I soon started to take few items of each product from my stockpile, lay them all out on a table and then realized that I did have much to give and then donated it to my local food bank, Manna Ministries in Bangor, Maine. I was able to record this wonderful experience, here, in hopes to motivate the local people of my community. After many weeks of extreme couponing I was able to donate so many more needed products to my local food bank and community. Inside of me, I have this feeling of guilt, that I still do not do enough for many people which are in need. Which in a way is a good thing to me because it is this guilt, that drives me to do more and more in my life for other people. Couponing has provided me with a whole new outlook on life. It has allowed me to show my 3 boys how to live, love and give to many unfortunate men and women along the way. Looking back now and I can not understand how my family and I paid full retail for so many products that I get today for either cheap or free.
So my goal with www.iHeartSweetDiscounts. com is to show my friends, family, and community this great treasure of mine which I call savvy shopping or couponing to the max in hopes that they will give back and feel the rewarding feelings I feel when I take needed products to my local food bank.
